Oakdale-Ivan Lee "Lucky" Polk, 92, of Glenmora entered eternal rest on Monday, September, 9, 2019. He passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Seal will officiate. Burial will follow at Butters Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Ivan L. Polk, PVTE2, was a World War II Army Veteran serving in Japan.

Those left to cherish Ivan's memory include his brother, Richard Donald Polk, Sr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ivan is preceded in death by his father, W.M. Polk and mother, Jessie May Hausey Polk; four sisters, Eloise McAdams, Amelia Johnson, Iris Lee Martin and Doris Polk; and one brother, Elmer Polk.

The family would like to express a special thanks to RN, Irma Vincent, and all of our Compassionate Care Hospice family! Thank you for all of your love and compassion that you all have shown to our family during this time.
