Isaac Langley, Jr., best known as JR, was born November 17, 1935. He passed away October 25, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral service for Isaac Langley, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton. Rev. Rojo Koonathan will officiate.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes of Kinder Monday, October 30, 2017, from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m., with the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Isaac served in the United States Infantry in 1960 and Louisiana National Guard from 1960 – 1967. He was inducted in Lake Charles. He was awarded the Army Service Ribbon and Expert Marksmanship Badge. He was ranked Staff Sergeant at discharge. Isaac was an avid horseman and very involved with Future Farmers Livestock shows. He graduated with an Agriculture degree from McNeese State University in 1960. He was a member of Jeff Davis Parish Consolidated Drain District #1 for over twenty years. Isaac will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Isaac's memory include his brother, Jim Langley, and wife, Char; his nephews, Brent Langley, Kevin Langley, Byron Langley, Butch Langley, David Heintz, and Jerry Heintz; his niece, Judy Heintz McKeller; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Isaac is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Langley, Sr. and Hycinth Leger Langley; brother, Curtis Langley; and sister, Ruby Langley Heintz.
Pallbearers will be Brent Langley, Kevin Langley, Byron Langley, Connor Langley, Benjamin Langley, and Clyde Fulmer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Ladner, David Marcantel, Ted McRae, D.D. Spivey, Paul Odom, Walter Hughes, Orville Augustine, Kelly McRight, Gene Manuel, Wendell Marcantel, Hine Unkel, and Chuck Abel.
