IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Irma Scroggs
Mccollough
February 8, 1922 – April 1, 2014
Her greatest joy was her Saviour, Jesus Christ and her family. She loved her church and activities. She was instrumental in helping to further the work of God in the support of the building of both locations of the Pitkin Pentecostal Church. She was hospitable to all who knew her and provided meals to whoever sat at her table. Her flowers and gardens gave her immense pleasure and were enjoyed by all. All of her 96 children and grandchildren enjoyed all holidays at her home every year. Her life influenced and helped all who knew her. She was very independent even until her Saviour called her home.
She sacrificed all her life for her children as a mother and hard worker. Her greatest prayer and wish was for all her family to be saved, living for God, and loving one another.
Irma is survived by her children-Juanita (Dudley) Sweat, Lydia Bernice Kingan, Yvonne Wiggins Mendoza, Betty (Charlie) West, Jeanice (James) Lambright, Norma (Jerry) Jinks, Eugene (Penny) McCollough; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchild.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 3-10 p.m. at Six-Mile Pentecostal Church. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
