Kinder- Funeral Mass for Ms. Idel Cook, 85, will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:00a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder Friday from 11am-10pm with a vigil service at 6pm and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8am until time of service.
Ms. Cook was a native and resident of Kinder. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Daughters. Ms. Cook retired as the first female Bank Manager from Capital One Bank, formally Calcasieu Marine Bank, after 41 years of service. She passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
She is survived by her sister, Georgette Bailey & husband Frank of Kinder; sister-in-law, Josie Cook of Rayne;11 nieces & nephews and a host of great nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alida & Joseph Cook; four brothers, Lewis Cook, Fred Cook, George Cook, & Anthony Cook; sister-in-law, Georgia Cook.
Ms. Cook loved her family and she will be dearly missed.
