Kinder- Funeral service and Masonic honors for Mr. Hubert J. Delome, 61, will be held Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2:00PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Ervin Goodwin & Rev. Poullard will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Reed Cemetery in Oberlin.
Visitation will begin Saturday at 11am with a Farewell to Warrior ceremony at 6:30pm and a rosary at 7pm. The funeral home will remain open all night.
Mr. Delome was a resident of Kinder. He was an Army Vietnam War Veteran, member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 215 officer, which he was voted Point Man of the year, and served with the Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Delome was also a Jr. Warden Mason with the Masonic Lodge 349 ELD South, and a member of the Lake Charles Scottish Rights. He passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Marie Delome; one son, John Myers of Kinder; three daughters, Jackie Holland & husband Len of Kinder, Karen Westfall & husband Jared of Lake Charles, Vanessa Davis & husband James of Sulphur; two brothers, Randolph John Delome & wife Bonnie of Sulphur, Terry Lee Delome of Martinez, CA; six grandchildren, Michael Joseph Monroe, Lacie Elizabeth Monroe, Crysta DeAnne Monroe, Gabrielle John Myers, Spencer Harvey Louis Myers, Brennan Graham Westfall, Hunter Davis, and his great grand heart, Saydee Elizabeth Monroe.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Louise Delome; two brothers, Lloyd Delome Jr. & Tommy Lynn Delome.
Hubert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all. He was a dignified community person and volunteer that will truly be missed.
