Elton- Funeral Mass for Mr. Howard Deaton, 80, will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00AM in St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton from 3PM-9PM with a rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8AM until time of service.
Mr. Deaton was a resident of Elton. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service, and he also retired from the Oil Field with 20 years of service. Mr. Deaton passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Willie Ortego Deaton; one son, Howard Keith of False River; three daughters, Vickie Deaton Fontenot (Bob) of Jennings, Terry Deaton LaFleur (Ray) of Jennings, Melissa Deaton (Val) of Lafayette; one sister, Mary Hall of Miami, OK; 8 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rettie & Luther Deaton.
