Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Horace Elam Baggett, 74, will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00AM in First United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Rod Nesmith, Rev. Marvin Hicks, Rev. Gerald Bushnell, & Rev. Jimmy D. White will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in First United Pentecostal Church Tuesday from 3PM-9PM and will continue Wednesday at 8AM until time of service.
Mr. Baggett was a lifelong resident of Kinder and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Ragley where he served as a board member. He worked in timber and logging, and he also worked for Missouri Pacific Truck Line for 15 years before he became owner and operator of Horace Baggett Trucking for 33 years.
Mr. Baggett loved his community and his work was his passion.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, and especially a paw paw. He was a mentor to many and his many friends and family will truly miss him.
Horace Elam Baggett is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Baggett; two children, Terry Elam Baggett & his wife Linda of Westlake, Renee` Baggett of Cleveland, TX; brother, Marvin Baggett & his wife Sally of Reeves; two grandchildren, Kevin Baggett & Melissa Creswell; 1 great grandson, Sean Elam Creswell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Luther Baggett.
