Elton- Funeral service for Mr. Herman Moore, 83, will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 10:00am in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Don Willis will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4pm-10pm and will continue Wednesday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Moore was a resident of Elton. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Mr. Moore passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at 9:45am in his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Louise McGee Moore; three sons, Gerald Moore & wife Aprill of Jennings, Kirk Moore & wife Carol of Moss Bluff, Barry Moore & wife Carole of Newark, TX; one daughter, Christine Wright & husband Nathan of Hemphill, TX; one sister, Lula Mae Moore Cloud of Kinder; one brother, Willie Walker of Kinder; 9 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his daughter, Alydia Moore LaPointe.
