Oakdale-Funeral service will be held for Herman "Bo" Lynn Ware, age 76, at 10 a.m. on August 2, 2021 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.  Rev. Stephen Laughlin and Rev. Robbie Rollins will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home, 311 Highway 1152, Oakdale from 3-10 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021.  Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Herman was a devoted father to his sons, Jerry and Chris.  He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He also had a special bond with his "right hand man", Lil Bit, his faithful canine companion that was by his side everywhere he went.  He was a hardworking man.  For years he worked in the logging industry where he held various positions.  Herman will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Jerry Ware and wife, Kim of Oakdale and Chris Ware and wife, Tracy of Pitkin; one brother, Shirley Ware and wife, Connie of Houma; one sister, Faye Fatula and husband, Mike of Oakdale; 5 grandchildren, Bradly Ware, Garrett Ware, Chase Ware, Shaylon Schexnider, and Hanna Ware; and 8 great grandchildren.

Herman is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Desty Ware; one brother, Glenn Ware; and one grandson, Christopher Luke Ware.
