Longville-Funeral service for Herman Leroy Johnson, 85, was held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Longville. Rev. Stewart Graves officiated. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family received visitors at First Baptist Church on May 13, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation resumed Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Herman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Wilda, for 66 years. Herman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longville for 30 years. He was a floor serviceman for nearly his whole life. Herman loved to fish, garden, and spend time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Herman's memory include his wife, Wilda Johnson of Longville; his two sons, Vic Johnson and wife, Pamela, of Mena, AR, Greg Johnson and wife, Missy, of Clarksville, TN; one brother, Tommy Johnson and wife, Linda, of DeRidder; two sisters, Hazel Dunham of Shreveport, and Judy of Oregon; nine grandchildren and sixteen great- grandchildren
Herman is preceded in death by his parents Melton and Nellie Johnson; two sisters, Angelie Johnson and Shirley Ray; and one great- great- grandchild, Bryson Chase Johnson.
