Oberlin-Funeral service for Herman J. "Bud" Chapman, 77, will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob S. Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home.
Friends and family will begin gathering at Allen Parish Funeral Home on Friday morning at 9 a.m. and will then process to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for the praying of the rosary followed by the funeral service.
Herman, affectionately known as "Bud", was a loving husband of 54 years to his wife, Connie. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bud will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Bud's memory include his devoted wife, Connie Chapman, of Oberlin; one son, Michael Chapman of Oberlin; three daughters, Sharon Snider and husband, Michael, of York, PA, Melanie Klein of Kinder and Stephanie Chapman of Oberlin; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Azinor and Alexa Chapman; three brothers, Horace, Harvey, and Norris Chapman; and four sisters, Hazel Marcantel, Allie Molitor, Syble Chapman, and Winnis Faul.
