Henrietta was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She was always caring for her family. She was a tough, but very loving, patient and fun mother to her only child-Karen. She took care of other family members over the years. She worked and retired from the local bank as a teller, secretary, etc. She spent many years camping with her husband and daughter in their small trailer along with family and friends. She and Louis, her husband of 62 years, loved growing a vegetable garden along with fishing in their boat; giving away many vegetables they grew and fish they caught along the way. Her rice dressing was well known by family and friends. The last few years she spent many hours with her daughter laughing, fighting over who was in charge, cooking, eating out and watching her favorite soap opera, Jeopardy, and Hallmark movies, while still watching EWTN mass and rosary daily and her daily readings. Although she ate like a bird, she loved trying new foods and going to new restaurants.
When asked, those who knew and loved her stated: She was a giving person who never said no. She used to wear high heels a lot but quit as she got older. She was absolutely amazing, loyal, dependable, faithful, patient, loving and a big-hearted person in a little body. She was a kindhearted, gentle soul who was always thinking of others. It was a joy to have known her. She was my sweet, little friend. She loved her sweets. She worked diligently at her church over the years being on the finance committee, taking care of the money at the yearly bazaar, was treasurer and longtime member of the Altar Society and did perpetual adoration until the end. She enjoyed going to senior luncheons at the church and visiting with people.
Henrietta will be greatly missed, but we know she will be in a better place and back with her loved ones.
