Kinder-A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Louise Courville Manuel, 60, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Carlos Garcia and Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4-9 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Benny, for five years. She was a devout Catholic and a lifelong faithful member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Helen worked for Coushatta Casino Resort for the past twenty-four years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, they were her everything. Helen enjoyed cooking for her family and they all agree that she made the best chicken spaghetti. She loved to spend time with her sisters, going on road trips with them, planting flowers and working in her yard. Helen was a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Helen's memory include her husband, Benny Manuel of Kinder; two sons, Derrick LaFosse and wife, Lezlie, of Kinder and Tavis LaFosse of Kinder; one brother, Paul Courville and wife, Cathy, of Elton; four sisters, Brenda Horner and husband, Jimmy, of Iowa, Cindy Schexneider and husband, Dudley, of Oberlin, Genifer Fontenot and husband, Curley, of Oberlin and Melissa Bartell and husband, Troy, of Oberlin; and three grandchildren, Brett, Tyler and Katie-Rose LaFosse.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elda Courville; and one brother, Phillip Courville.
