Oberlin-Funeral service for Hazel M. Courville, 81, will be held at St. Joan Of Arc Catholic Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Burial will follow in Durio Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home-Oberlin Chapel.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 9a.m. at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 119 S. 7th Street, Oberlin. A rosary will be recited at 10a.m. Visitation will continue until time of service.
Hazel was a lifelong resident of Oberlin and member of St. Joan Of Arc Catholic Church. She was an expert home maker for her family. Hazel will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Louise Manuel, Ruby Courville both of Oberlin. And Sherral Chamberlain of Oakdale; 3 sons, Roger Courville Jr. of Oak Grove, Michael Courville of Moss Bluff, and Harrison Courville of Marksville. 4 brothers, 30 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Aline Sonnier; her husband, Roger L. Courville Sr.; 1 brother; and Great grandson Bentley Gremillion.
