Obituary

Kinder- Harry Dean "Dino" Ardoin Jr., a resident of Crowley, died February 14, 2011 at his residence in Crowley at age 40. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11AM in Saint Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder with burial to follow in Oaklin Spring Cemetery in Oberlin, La. Visitation will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 4PM-9PM with a vigil service and rosary beginning at 6:30PM at the funeral home.

Dino was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin and also attended St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder. He graduated from Oberlin High School in 1988 and was an employee of P.S.A. Metalizing from its founding in 1992. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dino has played the drums since high school and played the drums with various local musicians and his family in jam sessions. He was a loyal Saints fan and enjoyed all NFL Football Games. He and his daughter Brittany would pick the winning Super Bowl teams every year and never lost a game. He was very passionate about his music and loved his children dearly. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.

He is survived by his fiancé, Jackie Stewart of Crowley, his mother, Jean Marie Guillotte Ardoin of DeQuincy; two sons, Justin Young and Derek Ardoin both of Kinder; two daughters, Alexandra Lorraine and husband Michael Imler of Pheonix, Az, and Brittany Catherine Ardoin of Kinder. He is also survived by one sister, Michelle and husband Joseph Bourg of Oberlin. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Dean Ardoin Sr. and paternal grandparents, Roman and Beatrice Ardoin and a friend that was like a brother, Tyrel "Boodie" Bertrand.
