Oberlin-A Mass of Christian Burial for Harrison James Harmon, 55, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob Connor will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service with the Holy Rosary at 9.

Harrison was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He was a lifelong member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, mowing, cooking, cycling, reading, visiting with family and friends and helping his grandparents. Harrison will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Harrison's memory include his mother, Semonia Harmon of Oberlin; one brother, Larry Harmon and wife, Roslyn, of Kinder; and two sisters, Lois Evans and husband, Lionel, of Kinder and Deloise Hanks and husband, Richard, of Houston, TX.

Harrison is preceded in death by his father, Alcide Harmon.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of FMC dialysis clinic in Jennings, Brighton Bridge Hospice, St. Frances Nursing Home, St. Pats Hospital and Father Connor at St. Joan of Arc for all of their special care, help, and prayers for Harrison.
