Obituary

Kinder-A Mass of Christian Burial for Harold Joseph Klein, 59 will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.  Rev. Fr. Michael Schatzle and Rev. Sam Burchard will officiate.  Burial will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5-9 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be prayed privately with the family prior to visitation. On Thursday morning, visitation will resume at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.   At the family's request, everyone in attendance will be required to wear a face covering.

Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sheila, for 14 years. He was a faithful, lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He was a hard-working electrician with Phillips 66 for 27 years. His biggest passion was deer hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time at his camp in Tensas Reserve. Harold was one of the kindest persons that ever walked the face of the earth and he never met a stranger. He was the truest friend that a man could ever have. He was a wonderful father to all of his children. Harold will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Harold's memory include his wife, Sheila of Dry Creek; 5 daughters, Lacey Benoit and husband, Barrett of Jennings, Heidi Chapman of Reeves, Sara Chapman of Claremore, OK, Faith Gotte and husband, Travis of Iota, Nikki St. Mary and husband,  Austin of Iowa; three sons, Kaleb Klein and significant other, Joby Richard of Reeves, Tim Reed and wife, Wendy of Roopville, GA, and Adam Reed and wife, Amy of Carrollton, GA; two sisters, Jane Gates and husband, Stan of Roberts Cove and Dorothy Lafargue and husband, Wayland of Kinder; four brothers, James Klein of Kinder, Gerald Klein of Oberlin, Alvin Klein and wife, Margie of Youngsville and Robert Klein and wife, Debbie of Kinder; 10 grandchildren, Bryson Berwick, Elizabeth and Layne Benoit, Phoebe Daigle, Kayleigh, Rykon, and Cooper St. Mary, Bridgette and Dawson Hazelton, and Kyle Strickland; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Klein; two grandchildren, Gracie and Ava Reed; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Klein.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Mike Aucoin, Troy Arnold, Kelly Klein, Cade Howell, Trey Arnold and Jacob Klein.
