Elton- Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Harold Watson Bertrand,74, will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11AM ST. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be held Friday in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton from 1PM-10PM with a rosary at 7PM. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8AM until time of service.
Mr. Bertrand was raised in Elton and was a resident of Moss Bluff. He retired from Calcasieu Parish School Board, and he was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Mr. Bertrand was also a member of Retreads Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Bertrand; two sons, Kirk Bertrand & wife Betty of Jennings, Russell Bertrand of Jennings; two step sons, Steve Miser of Houston, Allan Lopez & wife Jenny of Lake Charles; three brothers, Wayne Bertrand of Texas, Larry Bertrand of Elton, & Jessie Bertrand of Elton; one sister, Brenda Bertrand of Elton; 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.
