Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Harlin Hilton Bertrand Sr., 76, will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 2p.m. in First United Pentecostal Church in Kinder. Rev. T.L. Smith, Rev. Rod Nesmith, & Rev. Ronnie Burk will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in the church Tuesday from 1:00pm and will continue Wednesday at 8:00a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Bertrand was a resident of Kinder, a member of First United Pentecostal Church, and he retired from Hunt Oil after 25 years of service. Mr. Bertrand passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 in a local care center.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Evelyn Bertrand of Kinder; five children, Reggie Bertrand & wife Becky of Kinder, Richard Bertrand & wife Mickey of LeBlanc, Christine Cooper & husband Donnie of Kinder, Ray Bertrand & wife Laura of Kinder, Harlin Hilton Bertrand Jr. of Kinder, sister, Debbie Fontenot of Kinder; 17 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents & three sisters.
