Kinder- Celebration of Life Services honoring Gloria Dean Rougeau 79, will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 10 o'clock a.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Gloria will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Elton immediately following her services.
Gloria's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 2-8 o'clock p.m. with a Prayer Vigil beginning at 6 o'clock p.m. followed by the praying of the Holy Rosary. Visitation will resume at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Thursday morning November 2, 2023, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Gloria's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
Gloria, affectionately known as "Dean" was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband Robert for 60 years. Gloria was a faithful member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she attended church regularly and was a member of the Catholic Daughters and was an active and dedicated Lector. Gloria loved to spend time with her family and cherished every memory she made with them. She worked as a bank teller for Hibernia Bank formerly Calcasieu Marine Bank for many years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for St. Louis High School until her well deserved retirement. Gloria was a kind, loving and affectionate person who will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Gloria's memory include her husband, Robert Rougeau of Kinder; one son, Blake Rougeau of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Brenda Mouser and husband Chris of Kinder, and Beverly Gauthreaux and husband Charlie of Iowa, LA; two sisters in law, Melanie Fontenot of Jennings, LA, and Natalie Rougeau of Iowa, LA; one grandson, Hunter Rougeau and fiancé Hannah Heath of Ooltewah, TN; one granddaughter, Meaghann Rougeau of Ringgold, GA; and one great-granddaughter, Remington Paislee Smith of Ringgold, GA.
Gloria is preceded in death her parents, Eston, and Mary Eloise Fontenot; and one brother, Rayford Fontenot.
