Oakdale-Funeral service for Gloria Clarkson, age 69, will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday December 29, 2017 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Tony Borque will officiate. Burial will follow in Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday, December 29, 2017.
Gloria was a great mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and fishing. She enjoyed going to church and always had a hug for everyone. Gloria loved being with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Gloria's memory include her husband, Gary Clarkson; one son, Bobbie Richey, Jr.; one daughter, Rebecca Norman and husband, Kevin; two brothers, William Leon Moore, Webster Lee Moore and wife, Elaine; three sisters, Marlene Callahan and husband, George, Brenda Nadine Walton and husband, John, and Lola Francine Johnston and husband, Craig; seven grandchildren; and, six great grandchildren.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, James D. and Elizabeth Maxine Moore; and daughters Melissa Machelle Richey and Rayetta Lynette Richey.
