Kinder- Funeral Mass for Mrs. Gladys Savant, 81, will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4pm-10pm with a vigil at 6pm and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Monday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Savant was a lifelong resident of Kinder, member of Ladies Altar Society, & CDA. She passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 in a Lake Charles care center.
Survivors include her son, Russell Savant of Marietta, GA; two daughters, Regina Shuff of Elton & Phyllis Arabie of Grand Lake; two sisters, Verna Fontenot of Kinder & Thelma LaPoint of Iowa; 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence William Savant; parents, Emile & Lorilea LaFleur; brothers, Tilman LaFleur, Louis Joseph LaFleur, & Clyde LaFleur.
