Elton-Funeral service will be held for Mrs. Geraldine Duhon LeJeune, age 73, on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Kinder. The service will begin at 11am and officiates will include Fr. Marshall Boulet and Fr. Carlos Garcia. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery of Elton under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will begin Monday, October 3, 2011 from 3-10pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. A vigil service will be held at 6:30pm followed by a rosary. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 8am until time of service.
Geraldine was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society as well as the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed cooking, canning, babysitting and gardening. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 56 years, Alvin John LeJeune of Elton; one son, Darrel LeJeune and wife, Susan of Houston, TX; two daughters, Patricia Clement and husband, Robert of Elton, and Sharon Hebert of Scott; one sister, Frances Allemand of Kinder; nine grandchildren; and, two great grandchildren.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Doris Duhon; one brother, Wilfred Duhon; and one sister, Edna Laviolet.
