We celebrate the life of Georgia Nell Baggett Guillory, born to Andrew "Jack" and Lucille Baggett in 1944. Georgia grew up in Dry Creek as a strong country girl who loved horses, gardening and most of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She raised her children mostly by herself by working for the state with the handicapped. She worked very hard to provide for them by running small businesses such as-a sewing shop, a café on main-street in Oberlin and later owning Guillory Country Store down Carpenters Bridge road in Doodlefork. Georgia sold homegrown fresh vegetables too; just about everyone around her community always had fresh vegetables from her garden for free. "You pick them, I'll shell them" she would always say. She was a member and volunteer for Vietnam Veterans of America. Georgia was always involved and happy to help at events; earning a badge of honor from the VVA. She always kept the peace, forgave and loved her family and friends very much. She fought the battle of cancer for two years and always said life is worth fighting for. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Georgia's memory include her two sons, Larry Guillory, Jr., and wife, Sonya, of Alabama and Jarrett Guillory and wife, Amanda, of Kinder; two daughters, Melissa LeJeune and husband, Kenneth, of Mena, Arkansas and Myka Guidry and husband, Shawn, of Kinder; three sisters, Glenda Sue Baggett of Kinder, Andrea Gail Courville and husband, Terry, of Kinder and Gloranna "Toot" Pursley of Doodlefork; one brother, Andrew "Bo" Baggett and wife, Linda, of Doodlefork; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew "Jack" and Lucille Hamilton Baggett; previous husband, Larry Bob Guillory, Sr.; one sister, Genevieve Ryder; and one grandson, Caleb Blake Smith.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Brighton Bridge Hospice for all of their love, care and compassion they have shown during this difficult time. Also, a special thanks to her loving friend, Marie Delome, for always visiting and being there for her throughout her battle with cancer.
