George, fondly known as Ted, was born to the union of George "Joe" Virgil O'Banion Sr. and Margie Nell Turner O'Banion on January 18, 1948, in Oakdale, Louisiana. His love for Jesus Christ was evident in everything he did. "Ted" was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Oakdale where he attended church regularly, and a 1966 graduate of Oakdale High School. He finished TH Harris Trade School in Opelousas, Louisiana, before serving our country in the United States Army from 1968-1970. After his military service, he worked at Electrical Maintenance Systems for ten years, followed by Valerie Electric Services as an electrician. He started his own electrical business in 1985 always working diligently to provide for his family. Ted's great zeal for life was evident in everything he did, from playing tennis to touring the country and Oakdale on his bicycle. He also loved the Beach Boys and the ocean. His love for Jesus Christ and his family was paramount, especially his two grandsons, Adam, and Dylan. "Ted" will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish "Ted's" memory include one son, Jeremy O'Banion and wife Jennifer of Baton Rouge, LA; one sister, Brenda Eagan of Oakdale, LA; two grandsons, Adam, and Dylan O'Banion; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

"Ted" is preceded in death by his parents George "Joe" Virgil Sr. and Margie Turner O'Banion; and one brother, Charles O'Banion.
