Kinder-Funeral service will be held for Gary Mark Marcantel, 50, on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2pm in the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel of Kinder. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate the service and burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder beginning Monday, April 1, 2013 from 3-10pm with a vigil service at 6pm followed by the recitation of the rosary. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 8am until time of service.
Gary was a loving dad, son and brother. Gary's passion was camping and fishing. He also enjoyed working with his livestock. He was a friend to all who knew him and would help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother-Louella Marcantel of Elton; his wife- Jennifer Benoit Marcantel of Elton; one daughter-Megan Marcantel of Elton; four brothers-Ricky Marcantel and wife, Angie of Kinder, Bryan Marcantel of Kinder, Greg Marcantel and wife, Shirley of Basile and Mike Marcantel of Elton; two sisters-Clara Fontenot and husband, J.B. of Kinder and Missy Marcantel of Kinder; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Higney Marcantel.
