Elton- Funeral service for Mr. Frank Anthony David, better known to his friends as "Cowboy" or by his CB handle,"Empty Pockets", will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10am in St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton beginning at 10am on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 and will observe a continuous visitation until time of service on Thursday.
Frank returned to Our Heavenly Father on August 18, 2012. He lived in Elton all of his life. He attended Elton Elementary thru Elton High School and later,
began work as a construction worker at SK Enterprise. He also drove 18-wheelers for Albert Richard Trucking, BNM Trucking, United Van Lines, and most recently, Scrapy Trucking. He loved hanging out with family and friends, shooting pool and playing foosball.
He is survived by his parents-Robley & LouAnna (Bourgeois) David of
Elton; four siblings-Donna (Bobby) Bertrand, Joseph E. David, both of Elton,
Cheryl (Herbert) Comeaux of Lacassine, and Derwin R. David; one godchild-
Laurie Comeaux of Welsh; his ex-wife- Judy LaSalle, and three step-children-
Brett LaSalle, Stephen Evans, and Courtney Thibodeaux; two step-grandchildren-
Meya and Stephen Evans, Jr., all of Jennings; his nieces and nephews-Francis
Comeaux Sr., Rodney Comeaux, Jr., Phillip Comeaux, Anastasia Hornsby, Amber
Fontenot, Chris Comeaux, Ashley Morrow, Patricia Comeaux, Alex David and
Chelsey David; great nieces and nephews- Francis (C.J.) Comeaux, Jr., Kamon Wier, Ayden Fontenot, Joshua Hornsby, Lainey Comeaux, Hannah Comeaux, Peyton Morrow, Joseph Clement, Hayden Hornsby, Elia Fontenot, and Colby Comeaux; godmothers-Joan Matte and Lerdie McMahon; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Francis Amada David; maternal grandparents, Esaus (Dick) and Zilda (Conner) Bourgeois; paternal grandparents, Francis David and Essie Mae Ardoin Harper; one step-grandchild, Aaron Richard; one great niece, Khloey Morrow; and his godfather, David Matte.
Pallbearers for the funeral service will include Joseph David, Francis Comeaux, Sr., Francis Comeaux, Jr., Rodney Comeaux, Jr., Blaine LaFosse, Amada Rougeau, Calvin Sylestine, and David Duplechin. Honorary pallbearers are Dana Williams, Brett LaSalle, and Stephen Evans.
