Foster Joseph Sonnier

Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Foster Joseph Sonnier, 81, will be Monday, December 10, 2007 at 2 PM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia and Father Charles McMillian will officiate. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 3 PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and will remain open all night till time of service on Monday. A Vigil will be held at 6 PM followed by a Rosary. Interment will be in LeBleu Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

Mr. Sonnier was a resident of Kinder. He served his country with honor during WWII with the U.S. Marine Corps where he fought in Okinawa. He passed away on Friday in Jennings.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Sonnier. He is survived by four sons; Michael Sonnier and wife Janis of Kinder, Carl Sonnier and wife Sherrill of Welsh, Mark Sonnier and wife Madora of Kinder, and Byron Sonnier and wife Charity of Kinder; four daughters; Sharon Baxter and husband Dale, Joan Lormand and husband Terry, Pat Odom and husband Bob, and Lori Sonnier all of Kinder; one brother, C.J. Sonnier of Winnie, TX and one sister, Rita Gerard of Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
