Flo or Aunt Flo as she was affectionately known, was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was the Enrollment Director for the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. She was an avid advocate of the tribe and didn't wavier in her belief system. She loved playing Bingo and Slots at the Casino. She enjoyed music and dancing, and no one went hungry when she was around. She also served as the sexton of St. Luke Cemetery. Flo was known to help anyone in the community-young or old. People could go to her for anything and she would take on the task, never too large or small. Her "door was always open". Her passing is a great loss to her family, her community and her tribe.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Gary Wayne Langley of Kinder and Christopher Alvin Langley of Philadelphia, MS; one daughter, Anya Langley, of Elton; three brothers, Jack Langley, Hilton Langley, and Jerry Langley and wife, Edith, all of Kinder; one sister, Judy McCarley, of Kinder; six grandchildren-Aaliyah, Jordan, Jacob, Coby, Rashad, and Jackson; her very good friends, Darla Thompson and Pam Gobert of Elton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Flo is preceded in death by her parents, Elam and Sally Robinson Langley; her husband, Thomas J. Pitre; one son, Grant Louis Langley; four brothers, Burnett, Alvin, Marvin and Wilton (Gator) Langley; and two sisters, Lillian and Evelyn Langley.
