Kinder- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Florence Tate Savant, 76, will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 at 11:00AM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery in Kinder.
Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder Sunday from 3pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue Monday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Savant was a native and lifelong resident of Kinder, but was recently a resident of Sulphur. Mrs. Savant was a member and greeter of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters. Mrs. Savant passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Alton "Tony" Savant; one son, Randall Savant and wife Flo of Sulphur; two daughters, Kathy Lacock and husband Rusty of Spring, TX, Pam Hayes & husband Terry of Fenton; one sister, Gertrude LeBlanc of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Ashley Witsman, Shelby Savant, Jared Lacock, Jenni Lacock, Dustin Hayes, & Amy Hayes; six great grandchildren, Mackie Witsman, Ty Witsman, Nealy West, Mason Smith, Samantha Hayes, & Hailey Hayes.
Mrs. Savant is preceded in death by her parents, Dovake & Laura Tate.
