Kinder-Funeral services for Eva Mae Ardoin Bushnell, 85, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 4-9 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Eva Mae Ardoin Bushnell was the first of ten siblings born to Sibley and Mary Ardoin. She was a devoted housewife and mother of four. Eva married her husband, Hershell, in 1954 and they were married for forty-nine years until his passing. She was an excellent cook and was known for her homemade bread and cobblers. Eva loved her flowers; she enjoyed working in her yard and took pride in their beauty. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Eva's memory include her two sons, Steven Bushnell of Tennessee and John Bushnell of Lake Charles; two daughters, Paula Menard and husband, Curtis, of Leblue Settlement and Mona Bushnell of Kinder; three brothers, Joe Ardoin and James Ardoin, both of Kinder and Mike Ardoin and wife, Mary, of Arizona; four sisters, Genevieve "Doll" Vincent and husband, Adam, of Jennings, Kita Foster of Indian Village, Barbara Harvey and husband, David, of Houston, TX and Marilyn Turner and husband, Coy, of Kinder; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eva Hanks Ardoin; two brothers, Walter and Carl Ardoin; and one grandchild, Roger Clark.
