Euric "Bill" Savant Jr.

Kinder- Euric "Bill" Savant Jr. passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at 87 years of age, surrounded by his loving family. Bill's funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24 ^th , 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder. Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018, with a vigil at 6:00 p.m. followed by the praying of the holy rosary. Visitation will continue, at the funeral home, on Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lillie, for 65 years. He loved spending time with his family. He served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting and snow skiing. Bill was a life-long resident of Kinder as well as a life-long member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He enjoyed farming and working. He loved working with his cows and was a farmer for 57 years. Bill was chosen as International Farmer of the year in 1979. He loved to tell jokes and stories. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Bill's memory include his loving wife, Lillie; his three sons, Scott Savant and his wife, Dee-Dee; Rusty Savant and wife, Cindy; and Keith Savant and his wife, Heidi; and three daughters, Jan Roberts and husband, Wade; Jackie Mills and her husband, Scottie; and Montez Marcantel and husband, Bill; and one sister, Dot White and husband, Lee, all of Kinder. Bill loved his seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Euric Sr. and Zelma Savant; seven brothers, Louis Savant, Hoover Savant, Clifford Savant, Wilmer Savant, Harrison Savant, Wallace Savant, and Wilson Savant; and four sisters, Nan Bushnell, Lela Pounds, Leora LeDeoux, and Lolo Duplechain.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and David Marcantel and Terrence Dominque, Theresa Langley, and Don Fuselier for all their compassionate care and support.
