Kinder- Eurance Joseph Duplichan, 89, of Kinder, La. passed away June 9,2006 in the Allen Parish Hospital
Funeral mass for Mr. Eurance J. Duplichan will be Monday, June 12, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. with a vigil at 6 p.m. followed by a rosary and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of service. Burial with military honors will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Mr. Duplichan was a native of Kinder, La., but lived in Houston, Tx. for many years. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Rome, Italy. He was a welder for 25 years and a member of the American Legion and St. Philip Neri Catholic Church .
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Phinney Duplichan; one daughter, Martha J. Fruge of Kinder; two sons, Larry Ewell Duplichan of Kinder, La. and Preston Lee Duplichan of Canyon Lake, Tx.; two sisters, Doris Surber of Jasper, Tx., and Florence Saathoff of Dunlay, Tx.; one brother, Steve Duplichan of Kinder, La.; one stepbrother, Eddie Hamm of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and ten great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell and Nita Duplichan; two brothers, Preston Duplichan, Ewell Duplichan; two step brothers; Charles Hamm, Henry Lee Hamm and one step sister; Etheline Hamm Eckhart.
