Elton- A Mass of Christian Burial for Eura Mae Bellard, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 2, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton from 5-10 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2019. Visitation will resume Monday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Eura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to all. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Paul, for 56 years. She was a lifelong resident of Elton, as well as, a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Eura enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and vegetables. She liked listening to French and gospel music, playing board games and coloring with her grandchildren. Eura loved cooking for her family and could make the best gumbo. Last, but not least, she loved to watch LSU and Saints football. Eura was very proud of her Catholic faith and was a very faithful person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Eura's memory include her husband, Paul A. Bellard of Elton; one son, Wilford Bellard of Elton; two daughters, Pauline Bellard of Kinder and Stephanie Miller and husband, Gerald, of Elton; one sister, Orelia Gobert and husband, Morris, of Elton; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Eura is preceded in death by her parents, Alexson and Victorine Rougeaux; four brothers, Herman, Mathias, Anderson, and Eldridge Rougeaux; and three sisters, Alverta, Edith, and Christine Bellard.
