Elton- Funeral Mass for Mrs. Eugenia Fontenot, 85, will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be held Tuesday in the funeral home from 4pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm and will continue Wednesday at 8a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Fontenot was a native & resident of Elton. She worked in the Air Force during WWII, was the secretary for Alvin Insurance Company, and substituted as a rural mail carrier. Mrs. Fontenot was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother. She also loved to sew & plant flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Grady Fontenot of Elton; son, Ronald J. Fontenot & wife Mary of Sulphur; daughter, Charlotte Duplechain & husband Archie of Jennings; brother, A.B. Langley of Elton; 7 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Landry.
