Ethel, affectionately known as "Moose", was a devoted wife to her husband, Sanford, for 32 years. She was also a loving mother and grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith. Ethel liked to laugh, pick, and play. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was never seen without a smile on her face and she "never met a stranger". She loved to shop and never wore the same outfit twice. She was a die-hard Duke University basketball fan. Mrs. Ethel will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Marcus Thompson of Elton; four daughters, Deanna Robinson and companion, Ray Landry, Jr. of Basile, Rochelle Robinson, Jill Gradney and husband, Marcus, and Joy Robinson, all of Elton; two brothers, Floyd Poncho and wife, Waynne, and Victor Thompson, all of Livingston, TX; two sisters, Maryllis Williams and husband, Leslie, of Livingston, TX, and Dianna Camp of Diboll, TX; 8 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Ruby Thompson; her husband, Sanford Robinson; and one brother, Grady Thompson.
