Obituary

Kinder-Ethel Lemonia, 81, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2014. Her funeral service will be held at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic Church of Fenton at 12 o'clock p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014. Rev. Roland Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.

Ethel was a lifelong resident of Fenton and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife of 40 years prior to the passing of her husband, Antoine. Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who adored her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Beverly Lemonia, Wilda (Charles) Talbert, Rebecca Thibodeaux and Glenn Lemonia; 4 sisters-Geraldine, Ophelia, Marjorie, and Anita; 3 brothers-Johnny, Jimmie, and Patrick; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Woodrow Duhon, Sr.

Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Antoine Lemonia; her parents, Joseph and Anna Fontenot; one daughter, Linda DeRouen; one great grandson, Kayden Thibodeaux; and two sisters, Lillian Victorian and Joyce Letour.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Thelma Norris, Barbara Talbert, Dr. Peggy Allemand, Brighton Bridge Hospice, and CHRISTUS St. Patrick Home Health Care.
