Kinder-Funeral services for Ernest Romel Miller, 56, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Ernest was a lifelong resident of Kinder. He was a husband, father, brother, and friend to everyone he met. Through the years he held many different jobs to provide for his family. He worked as an A/C repairman for many years and, also, cut lumber. He was never afraid of hard work. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and enjoyed being a D.J. Ernest will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Ernest's memory include his mother, Doma Lee "Lorita" Miller; his companion of five years, Shirlea Guthrie and their son, Kaden; his sons, David Miller and Jeremy Miller; daughter, Melissa Richardson, and husband, Joe; daughters, Alicia Miller and Shelby Miller, and fiancé, Lance Franks, and their mother, Tammy Daigle; extended family-Alise Landry Miller, brothers, Gene Miller (Annette Shanaburger), Dick Miller (Francine Beach), Jason Miller and wife, Lauren, Nick Miller and wife, Shawnee, and Robbie Miller. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Ernest is preceded in death by his father, Nolton J. Miller; his grandparents, Esther and Romeo Borque and Tony and Felicia Miller.

Pallbearers will include Zack Miller, Josh McCracken, Kody Green, Philip Johns, Gene Miller, and Marvin Vidrine.
