Kinder-Funeral service for Emery Durio, 76, will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate.
Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home on August 25, 2016, from 3-9 p.m. A Vigil Service will begin at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Emery was a loving father and grandfather. He was a lifelong resident of Kinder. He was an iron worker for Local 678 and retired with PPG Industries. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Emery's passion was his many tractors and his time with Cecil at the feed store. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Emery's memory include his son, Cecil Durio of Kinder; two daughters, Earline Durio and Sharlotte Durio Bushnell, both of Kinder; two sisters, Laura Mae Fontenot and husband, Mason, of Kinder, and Etta Jane Murphy and husband, Bert, of San Bernardino, CA; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Emery is preceded in death by his parents Evrar and Adolisca Durio; and three brothers, Randall Durio, Howard Durio, and Woodrow "Woody" Durio.
