Oberlin- Funeral service for Mrs. Elsie Lee Veazey, 67, will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2:00PM in Oberlin Baptist Church. Rev. McAleece will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in the church Thursday from 10am-10pm and will continue Friday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Veazey was a resident of Oberlin. She was a member of Oberlin Baptist Church, enjoyed quilting and she loved to care for the elderly. Mrs. Veazey passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
She is survived by her loving husband, Artis G. Veazey Sr.; one son, Artis G. Veazey Jr. & wife Candina of Oberlin; two daughters, Amanda Renee Veazey Lambert, Rebecca Ann Veazey Granger & husband David "Beaver" all of Oberlin; three brothers, Ronnie Lee Foreman of Sulphur, Ray Allen Foreman of Crowley, Curtis James Foreman of Crowley; four sisters, Gloria Crochet of Lake Charles, Peggy Trahan of Lake Charles, Jeanette Roy of Crowley, & Theresa LaComb of Crowley; four grandchildren, Rachel Denise Lambert, Kayla Lynn Veazey, Braden Gene Veazey, & Krista Danielle Veazey; four great grandchildren, Blakely Renee Guillory, Hailey Denise Guillory, Mason Heath Ware, & Daxton Roy Shuff.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oran & Helen Foreman; three sisters, Norma Jean Kingrey, Shirley Ann Foreman, Rita Mae Foreman; brother, Robert Dale Foreman.
