Ray was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Reeves Bible Church and was a man of great faith. He had a big heart, never met a stranger, and the door to his home was always open. Ray was the "biological" father of four, but was really a father to so many more. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was a great storyteller. He also liked to cook. He served as "best man" at the weddings of all of his sons. Ray was truly a father, a brother and a friend. His memory will be cherished by everyone who knew and loved him.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of nearly sixty years-Emma Kendrick Miles of Reeves; three sons-Ray Miles and wife, Tanya of Lake Charles, William Miles and wife, Enung of Indonesia, and Lenord Miles and wife, Dawn of Reeves; two daughters-Emma Lou Miles Young and husband, Jimmy Ray of Reeves and Amanda Marie Miles Latta and husband, David of Lake Charles; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents-William and Mary Miles; one brother-Raymond Miles; and one sister-Viola Marie Swire.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reeves Bible Church or the Camp Pearl Scholarship Fund.
