Kinder- Homegoing Services for Ellis "Junior" Savant, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Scott Benoit will officiate. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Junior was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He was a lifelong member of Indian Village United Pentecostal Church. Junior and Bro. Terry Bushnell were very close to each other; growing up together making many memories along the way. He really loved singing at Eastwood Pentecostal Church with Bro. Ewing, Sis. Joan and the choir. Junior enjoyed barbequing for family and friends, fishing, hunting and watching westerns. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He gave the best big bear hugs. He did mechanic work at his shop and enjoyed joking and picking with his shop friends. Junior was employed with Savant Trucking Company for twenty-five or more years where he worked for L.J. and Gloria Savant. He enjoyed working with all of his truck driving friends at Louisiana Concrete and L.J.'s shop, where he was called the "candy-man" and his CB handle name "June-Bug". Junior and Rickey Whittaker enjoyed working and fixing church buses together. He would always say that, he had his one way ticket and he was ready to go.  Junior will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Junior's memory include his ex-wife, Charlotte Savant; one son, Billy Guillory of Kinder; two daughters, Lisa Shuff of Kinder and Jennifer Duplichan and husband, Derek, of Kinder; one brother, Troy Savant of Kinder; four sisters, Louise Fontenot of Kinder, Bobbie Long and husband, Larry, of Meadville, PA, Marilyn Savant of Kinder, and Gwen Chapel of Welsh; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and special friend, Tyra Ardoin.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Lorie Bushnell Savant; and one son, Curtis Paul Guillory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family.
