Elizabeth "Libby" Atkinson

Kinder-Funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Atkinson, 77, will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 3:00 PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Don Willis will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until time of service.
Libby was a resident of Kinder, La. She was a member of the Baptist Church in
Fenton, La. After graduation she attended Moody Bible Institute and finished at Dallas Theological Seminary. She had a desire to become a missionary. She taught school in
Orange, Tx. and was a devoted mother and wife. She was able to achieve her life long desire of being a missionary by doing some missionary work in Indonesia and Saudia Arabia. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Mark D. Atkinson and wife, Wendy, of Baker, La.;
Daughter, Martha E. Deaton of Kinder; sisters, Freddie Meaux of Lake Charles, Marguerite Miller of Edna, Frankie Cansler of Lake Charles and Loretta Headrich of Kinder; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Donovan Atkinson and her parents, Frank and Minna Monger.
