Oberlin-Funeral services for Eleshia Rochelle Jernigan, 46, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Gray's Temple Church of God in Christ in Oberlin. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Gray's Temple Church of God in Christ on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Eleshia was a loving daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. She had a thoughtful soul and a very giving heart. She loved her children deeply and helped raise her nieces and nephews. Eleshia enjoying listening to music and watching reality T.V. She was a member of Gray's Temple Church of God in Christ and was on the choir there as well. The family would like to give praise and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ for she is finally free from the troubles of this world. Eleshia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Eleshia's memory include her parents, Cecil Merritt and Babbie Jernigan; father of her children, Craig McMahon; son, Dyshawn Garcia; three daughters, Kenisha Gentry, Kathryn Wilson and Kamryn McMahon all of Oberlin; two brothers, Cecil Jernigan and Collin Merritt of Houston, TX; sister, Enee Jernigan; niece, Keyena Jernigan; two nephews, Otis Guillory, Jr. and Deunota Fontenot; and one granddaughter, Kynnedi Ceaser.
