Oakdale-Edwin Dale Sirratt, 62,affectionately known as "Dale", passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023 at his home, with his loving family and friends by his side. Memorial Services for Dale will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 10 o'clock a.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale, Rev. Michael McIntosh will officiate. Dale will be peacefully laid to rest at Oakdale cemetery immediately following his services. Edwin's family will receive visitors on Thursday morning, August 24, 2023, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Dale was a beloved, affectionate, loving, and devoted son who was dearly loved by everyone. He loved and adored his cousins who were always there to see after him. He was a lifelong resident of Oakdale and a 1980 graduate of Oakdale High School. After High School he would go on to attend college at LSU Alexandria and Louisiana College. Once he finished college, Dale would go to work with his father "LaCaze in the "family business" until his fathers passing. He always had a witty sense of humor and loved to laugh.  In his free time Dale enjoyed reading, riding motorcycles, Sunday drives with his family, and occasionally listening to "rock-n-roll" music. Dale was a kind and considerate person and never forgot the people that he met along life's journey. He fought his long battle with cancer with dignity and grace always keeping God first.  Dale will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish Edwin's memory include, three special cousins, Joel C. Hall M.D., Theresa Hall Wheat, and Beth Hall Foster as well as a host other cousins and a large church family.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice Hall and Edwin LaCaze Sirratt; and his grandmother, Suzan Rigsby Hall.
