Oberlin-Funeral service will be held for Edward Darrayl Maddox, 20, at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob S. Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 8 a.m. until time of service at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 119 S. 7th Street, Oberlin. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m.
Edward was a loving son, brother, uncle, and fiancé. He loved to fish, cook, and was very outgoing. He never met a stranger and was a very charitable person. You never saw him without his son, Klayton. He loved children and was a big kid himself. He especially loved his fiancée, Jennifer Sonnier. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Edward's memory include his parents, Steve and Maryland Reed; one son, Klayton Sonnier; five brothers, Eric Reed and wife, Andrea, Jason Reed, Dustin Maddox, Justin "T-Jus" Reed, and Shea Reed; three sisters, Kelly Tizib and husband, Rocky, Chasity Kittrell and husband, Josh, and Leslie Strother and husband, Robert.
Edward is preceded in death by his father, Edward O. Maddox.
