A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edrie Leigh (Sis) Guillory, 93, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10 o'clock a.m.  Rev. Jose Vattekunnel will officiate.  Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday evening at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder from 5-8 p.m.  A prayer vigil will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the Holy Rosary.  On Friday morning, the family will gather and process to St. Philip Neri at funeral time.

Edrie, affectionately known as "Sis", was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was a woman of strong faith and a 50-year member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.  She was a dedicated wife to her husband, Julius A. Guillory for 55 years until his passing in July of 2001.  She was an expert seamstress and loved baking, cooking, and sewing.  She absolutely adored her family and loved having them over for dinner frequently.  Sis was a very kind and caring person.  She was the caregiver in her family and always wanted to lend a helping hand wherever and whenever it was needed.  Sis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Sis's memory include her brother, Dean "Mike" Richard and wife, Sharon (Bonnie) of Elton; her honorary sister, Sylvia Searle of Vidor, Texas; her two grandchildren, Kimberly Richard of Lafayette, CO and Aaron Richard and wife, Laci of Lake Charles; her three great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Richard of Broomfield, CO, Micheal Holt of Lafayette, CO, Hunter Young of Kinder; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sis is preceded in death by her parents, Cleve and Evanna Nugent Richard; her husband, Julius A. Guillory; her daughter, Rita Anne "Annie" Breaux Hall; and two brothers, James Wylie Richard and Charles Wayne Richard.
