There will never be another like her. Edna was a loving mother to her two daughters, Bonnie "Nita" and Diana, and a devoted and faithful wife to her husband, James, who passed in February 2007, and waits for her no more. She cherished her time with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Edna loved preparing special breakfasts and other meals for her family as a way of making each one feel special. She loved the Lord and her devotion was heard through song and playing the piano in church worship. She has a tremendously giving heart, loved to travel with friends and family, loved to dance and lived her life to the fullest. Edna was always on the move whether it was working in her yard or visiting friends and members of her church in need. All who knew her will cherish the memories of the woman gifted into their lives by God. She was called home by God and has earned her reward in heaven to be reunited with James and lovingly awaits us all.

Those left to cherish Edna's memory include her two daughters, Diana McRight and Bonnie "Nita" Ray (Robert); seven grandchildren, Bridget Earl (Bill) of Elizabeth, William "Randy" McDaniel (Chrissie) of Lumberton, TX, Patricia Wells (Greg) of Lumberton, TX, Michael Anderson (Kimberly) of Prosper, TX, Robert "Joey" Anderson (Jodie) of Bellbrook, OH, Karrie Brooks (Terry) of Pine Prairie and Ian Wilson of Camp Pendleton, CA; four step grandchildren, Keith Ray (Natalie), Chris Ray (Danielle), Sandy Ray (Amber) and Tammy Ray; seventeen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lottie Welch; husband, James Odom; one son, James Randolph Odom; three brothers, Albert, Bill and James Welch.
