Elton-Funeral service for Edna Marie Shuff, 93, will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Father Jose and Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home from 5-10 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016. A Holy Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Shuff was a resident of Elton. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Ladies Altar Society. She was deeply devoted to her faith. She was a loving and compassionate person who devoted her life to taking care of her family. In later life she enjoyed watching "Wheel of Fortune" and time with her canine companion "T-Boy". She will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Mrs. Shuff's memory include her son, Donnie Ray Shuff and wife, Ruthie, of Elton; two daughters, Gloria Carrier and husband, Bill, of Elton, and Pat Hutchinson and husband, Don, of Spring, Texas; seven grandchildren, Cade Carrier, Kenny Carrier, Scottie Shuff, Donnie Shuff II, Shonna Shuff, Ashley LaFleur, and Amber Byrne; and twelve great grandchildren.
Mrs. Shuff is preceded in death by her husband Ray Shuff.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Eunice Manor and Heart of Hospice of Lafayette for the wonderful care given to Ms. Shuff. It will never be forgotten.
