Obituary

Elton-Funeral service for Edith Ann LaFleur Juka, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Edith, affectionately known as "Pechute", was a lifelong resident of Elton. She graduated from Elton High School in 1966. She was employed by Coushatta Casino Resort of Kinder for 16 years and she truly enjoyed her work. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her father, William "Yum" LaFleur of Elton; one son, Lonnie Neitermayer of Katy, TX; two daughters, Stephanie Neitermayer of Kinder and Rhonda Mancilla and husband, Derek of Lacassine; one brother, Donald LaFleur and wife, Elisa of Elton; two sisters, Brenda Myers and husband, Andy of Jennings and Cynthia Chevallier and husband, Gary of Elton; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Juka and her mother, Eula Mae LaFleur.
